Data mining is a concept of extracting or mining knowledge from large amount of data. Clustering is a data mining technique in which it is used to grouping the similar data items. K-means is one of the simplest unsupervised learning algorithms that solve the well-known clustering problem. We use K-means to find out the similarities between Ragas, which is the fundamental unit of Indian Classical Music. We estimate the similarity of the example music file and the samples in the queried database by calculating the Euclidean distance and applying K-Means between the features extracted from the music files.
