Social Network Analysis (SNA) is a simple and efficient way to analyze data as a network especially when there's significant correlation or similarity between observations. This paper analyzes Karnatik ragas as an undirected network by comparing melodic structure of ragas using Longest Common Sequence (LCS) algorithm. To draw an edge between nodes, a cut-off of 0.9 was used for the LCS similarity ratio. The analysis reveals that ragas Harikaambhoji, Kharaharapriya, Shankarabharanam, Mayamalavagaula and Natabhairavi emerges as the hubs of the network illustrating the influence of these ragas in the evolution of Karnatik music.
