In this project we are modifying normal windshield into wiper-free windshield. Wiper-free windshield is the windshield which can operated under different climatic conditions without using wipers and wiper motor. This was an improvement over a normal windshield, where wipers and wiper motors were removed. Due to wiper's operation visibility gets reduced. The lack of visibility caused due to the continuous rainfall, mist and fog formation, so the driver losses his visibility. A normal windshield is replaced into wiper-free windshield by the concept of super hydrophobicity of lotus effect. Hence by this concept aerodynamic gets increased, so the fuel consumption of a vehicle gets reduced. In additional to this lotus effect we are adding titanium oxide instead of silica sand, for the purpose of better visibility and UV protection. In titanium oxide the superhydrophobic character can be implement and contact angle of >150o.
