Manufacturers in machining processes don’t consider only single objective instead of want multiple objective for optimization to generate high quality products with minimum production cost and to acquire maximum profit margin. GA is the best tool available in recent years for multi-objective optimization which will fulfill all aspects by giving out global optimal solution. This papers lay methodology to use GA to optimize three main cutting parameters in turning operation. Author wrote codes in MATLAB software and regression modelling for generation of objective function. Here a solution set was presented for understanding of selection of appropriate parameters for either rough or finish turning operation.
